needs to keep a set of chains in the car :o)
Maybe he thought the car would go on fire and it would melt the snow and ice off the road?

Needs more snow chains

Yeah high performance tires turn into no performance tires in the snow, or even heavy rain.
I remember last time I was in NC we were driving to pick up my dad at the airport and saw a Camaro, a mustang, and a Vette in the ditch on the highway. It had just rained heavily. My brother said that’s a common sight there, lots of people have high performance summer tires and don’t think about how garbage they are in the rain

no doubt, this is the sort of brave man the testarossa was designed to be owned by

I agree with the little kid

It is an Italian tradition to strand yourself in the mountains during a snow storm and attempt to limp down. Normally with help of numerous other vehicles ( par for the course there, in the US... LOL at anyone stopping to do anything but IG and laugh at you).

i cant tell, are those in state plates?
![]() 09/08/2020 at 22:48 |

Sometimes I wish I smacked, just so I could light up a smoke to show how frustrated I am. Or for dramatic effect while telling a story

I’ve heard of weather changing quickly, but that’s ridiculous. Where are you?
![]() 09/08/2020 at 22:55 |

Colorado. Was raining ash two days ago, and will be in the 80s again this week

Sometimes I wish I smacked
I snack, and that’s close enough. I don’t smack people as it is rude.

it’s supposed to be 90 here tomorrow so I guess it’s safe to bring the Testarossa out of the garage, (and if is snows I’ll do some wicked donuts in the WRX)

from a car spotters page they think its this one
however these two were both spotted rece ntly in Colorado and have blue-ish out of state plates, so... *shrug*

That montana plate is surely a tax dodge plate
![]() 09/08/2020 at 23:18 |
|
no, that cant be true. we all agreed to make rich people richer and in exchange they will pay their taxes and we will all benefit as a society. that you dare propose that someone who can afford a ferrari would register out of state to dodge taxes! why, I’m offended on their behalf!
![]() 09/08/2020 at 23:20 |

Owner: “But this is a Ferrari. An Italian Super car. It can do anything!!!”
Me: “Exactly”
Haha, uhh. I don’t think any Testy owners think their car can do anything. If you own that thing you’re very aware of the severe compromises you’re making to do so.

it can do anything; except carry groceries, park, etc etc etc
![]() 09/08/2020 at 23:53 |
|
it uses all of the fuel and needs an engine out service every day and never quite runs right to boot and it’ll try to kill you if you drive it in the rain or snow - oop

That’s the Rockies alright! I've experienced 85 sunny and no wind, to 40 with sideways sleet, and back in about an hour and a half. Those mountains are crazy.

That explains it

I once foolishly took off for a bike ride dressed for the pleasant sunny warm day it was, and then got stuck in a blizzard :S

Oof. That's not just any Testarossa, but a final-iteration 512M, 1 of 75 imported to North America. Damn...
![]() 09/09/2020 at 23:18 |

It also struggles to not be on fire.

I would register a car in Montana just for their historical vehicle license versus the garbage rules here in Missouri.
